On June 11th and 12th, the International Grief Congress organized by AEPSIS took place. This online event brought together professionals, students, and individuals interested in better understanding one of the most human and complex processes we address in psychology: loss.
At Eholo, we had the opportunity to be part of this event as a sponsoring entity, supporting an initiative aligned with our commitment to promote training, dissemination, and the development of the psychological profession.
Over two days, more than 12,600 people from over 32 countries connected to share learning and reflection alongside leading professionals from Spain, Argentina, Mexico, and Peru. The congress featured speakers such as Dr. Laura Mares, Montse Esquerda, José González, Shulamit Graber, Àngels Ponce, and Paola Renero, among other experts who offered diverse perspectives on grief and its support.
The sessions addressed essential topics such as grief in childhood and adolescence, ambiguous loss, anticipatory grief, end-of-life support, the relationship between sadness and the healing process, and the impact of our own history with death when supporting others.
Beyond the training, the congress created a close and shared space through the screen. Despite the distance, attendees' questions, reflections, and messages showed that discussing grief with respect and understanding can foster connection and support, even in an online format.
As part of our participation, Eholo aimed to introduce our platform to the professional community and raffled off a Premium annual plan among attendees, offering the opportunity to discover a tool designed to facilitate the daily management of psychologists and centers.
At Eholo, we continue to collaborate on initiatives that help strengthen the profession and create spaces where knowledge, technology, and the most human aspect of psychology can advance together. Thanks to AEPSIS, the speakers, and everyone who made this event possible.
