Alicia explains her beginnings, why she decided to start a business and how she has managed the good and bad times.
Talking about taxation isn't the most attractive part of our profession, but it's absolutely necessary if we want to work with peace of mind. For this reason, at Eholo we organized a very special training with tax expert Vanessa Cantero, who explained step by step everything a psychologist or psychologist should know to comply with their legal obligations without losing their minds.

Here is a summary with the most important points.
Vanessa insisted on something key: The 036 model is the basis of all your taxation. You must ensure that it is correctly completed and updated. Special attention to activity headings: if you do therapy, but you also rent offices, give training or sell courses, each activity must be reflected with its own epigraph.
One of the most common mistakes Vanessa clarified is thinking that everything we do as psychologists is exempt from VAT. Only clinical therapy for patients is, and also the regulated training.
Everything else —ebooks, recorded courses, memberships, talks, rentals, collaborations with brands— If it has VAT. And if you offer several services, you may have to apply the “pro rata” to properly deduct VAT from your expenses.
Whenever you bill for clinical therapy, add this caption:
Exempt transaction as provided in art. 20.One.3 of Law 37/1992 on VAT
Vanessa broke down very clearly the models that every psychology professional should know:
In addition, he explained the important dates for filing quarterly taxes (April, July, October and January), as well as the income campaign.
One of the most consulted points of the webinar was about deductible expenses. Vanessa was clear: if the expense is necessary to carry out your activity and you have an invoice in your name, you can deduct it. Some common examples:
Los controversial expenses How diet, fuel or household supplies can be deducted as long as they are well justified and are reasonable in relation to your activity.
Yes, Bizum too. Vanessa stressed that all income must be invoiced, regardless of the means of payment. Bizum is fully traceable, and the Treasury may require explanations if you don't declare it.
Can an unpaid bill be deleted? No. Vanessa explained that at least half a year must pass, have tried to formally collect (for example, through burofax) and register that amount as uncollectible. It is always best to do so with tax advice.
Another frequently asked point: what should an invoice look like?
