When innovation is put at the service of people, the impact multiplies.
During the DANA that affected the Valencian Community on October 31, 2024, from Eholo, we offered free access to our platform to the NGO Psychologists Without Borders (PSF) to support emergency psychological care. It was our grain of sand.
Thanks to this collaboration, the PSF team was able to organize, record and follow up on more than 1,000 cases and psychological support calls in a year, combining field care and telephone support through the Emergency and Crisis Psychological Care Service (SAPEC).
A key tool for caregivers
Eholo became an essential part of the daily operation of the volunteer team. Advanced digital features — such as the automatic transcription, the voice recording Or the label system— they allowed reduce administrative burden and spend more time to listen to and accompany affected people.
“Eholo has been fundamental to improving operations and accountability in psychosocial care in emergencies,” says the report prepared by Psychologists Without Borders.
Yessica-DĂaz Soto, responsible for the humanitarian action area for intervention at DANA, stressed that “the tool is agile, useful and crucial for registering cases. It simplifies administrative work and saves working hours.”
Artificial intelligence with purpose
During the intervention, the team also took advantage of the artificial intelligence integrated into Eholo, which facilitates the standardization of protocols and improves productivity when used responsibly.
“I consider Eholo to be another member of the team,” said DĂaz Soto. It simplifies administrative tasks and reinforces work efficiency in emergencies.”
All of this was carried out to guarantee the maximum data protection, with restricted access and reinforced security protocols, in accordance with current regulations (LOPDGDD and RGPD).
Technology with a social vocation
For the co-founders of Eholo, Sonia Torras Garat and Eduard MartĂ Vaquer, this collaboration reflects the company's deepest sense:
“We want technology to be at the service of what really matters: attention to people. In an emergency situation like DANA, we saw clearly that we had to act.”
With this experience, Eholo reaffirms its commitment to responsible innovation, the support for mental health professionals And the creation of technological solutions that facilitate care at critical moments.
