Alicia explains her beginnings, why she decided to start a business and how she has managed the good and bad times.
Dr. Teresa Pretel Luque invites us to discover the depths of her IPSIDE center together with her two co-founders, General Health Psychologist Rafael Alba and Dr. Meritxell Pacheco, to learn how management and vision have been essential to expand rapidly and become a reference clinic in record time.
IPSIDE's journey from its inception to becoming a center with more than 20 professionals has been based on collaboration, a relational approach and the intelligent use of technological tools such as Eholo. Their commitment to the community and the team has been the engine that has driven them to continued success.
We sat down with the three founders to talk about the keys to their growth, what sets them apart from other offices and what their daily management is like.
Why did you start IPSIDE?
We started IPSIDE because of our good personal and professional relationship and also because we were very clear about the three of us together how we wanted to approach this adventure. So we looked to see if there were any similar centers in Mataró or Maresme and when we didn't find it, we decided to found it. For us, IPSIDE is a stage where we can realize everything we imagine and everything we think. Creating it allowed us to jointly project and build our ideas. One of the key points has been our unity of thought. We are a united mind that projects and builds as a team, and this has been vital in our growth.
What sets IPSIDE apart from other centers?
Our therapeutic model is relational and emphasizes the therapeutic link. Not only do we treat symptoms, but we understand and work on the context and relationships in which these symptoms have developed. We highly value the diversity in our team, with different orientations and backgrounds, which allows us to offer a wealth of approaches to our community.
How do you face challenges?
We continuously adapt to emerging needs, as in the case of people with autism, adjusting our workforce and training. This approach and our dedication have enabled rapid and solid growth. The good atmosphere at IPSIDE has been highlighted by our users, who value the quality of the service and the human warmth they feel at the center.
How is your approach different?
Our approach rejects hierarchy in favor of a more horizontal and empowering relationship for the patient. We believe that each person is the protagonist and expert in their lives. We provide our knowledge in psychology, but we work as a team with the patient, which gives them the feeling of being in control of their own lives.
How have you gone from being a center of 3 workers to 20 professionals?
Going from being three professionals to becoming a center with more than 20 specialists has required a lot of teamwork. Constant coordination and communication have been essential. We maintain team oversight to improve our practice, and if a complicated situation arises, our therapists don't hesitate to discuss it with us. This open communication is critical to solving problems and continuing to grow.
When did you start using Eholo?
We started using Eholo when the team started to grow significantly. Initially, our expansion was prudent, but with the increase in demand, it became necessary to find a tool that would streamline our daily lives. Eholo coincided with our evolution and has been an important pillar in our organization.
How has Eholo helped you to better manage your query?
The adoption of Eholo has made our daily management easier. Automatic appointment reminders have improved adherence to therapy, reducing absences. In the administrative area, it has saved time and reduced paperwork, allowing us to efficiently store medical records and informed consents. For us, Eholo is just another member of the team, which performs crucial functions for the proper functioning of our center. It provides us with security and organization, something fundamental to our daily rhythm.

I can dedicate it to caring for patients, my family or simply disconnecting, without having the constant “run-run” of “I have to do”, “don't miss it”. Wish I had discovered it sooner!
