Emotional well-being, ETHICA approach and an integrative view of high sensitivity
“Psychotherapy with an ETHICA approach and emotional well-being”
Àngels Martí is an integrative humanistic psychologist and a leading voice in accompanying families and professionals who live with High Capacities (AACC) and Highly Sensitive People (PAS). From her practice, she focuses on emotional well-being and on people's capacity for transformation.
In this interview with Eholo Voices, Àngels shares his own methodology, the challenge of reconciling high work demand with personal life and how he has found in technology the perfect ally to recover the essence of his vocation.
An approach with its own name: ETHICA
To define his therapeutic approach in a single sentence, Àngels uses a concept that summarizes his work philosophy: ETHICA, the acronym for Integrative Humanist Therapeutic Approach and Appreciative Communication.
His work focuses on understanding the person from a global perspective, where listening and appreciation are the key tools to promote growth and inner freedom.
The challenge of reconciliation: returning to the essence
Like many professionals, Àngels faced a time of great complexity when the success of his practice clashed with personal needs:
“The biggest challenge has been to reconcile the high demand in consultation with family needs for health reasons.”
The solution was not to work harder, but better. Àngels decided to select collaborators, release external programs and recover what he really loves: psychotherapy sessions. This path has allowed him to experience moments of great professional satisfaction:
“I have two best moments: when I self-published the story 'La Gina i en Bluf', about emotional regulation, and when I launched the Emotional Wellness Expert certification in AACC and PAS for therapists.”
Technology that provides lightness
For Àngels, managing a query should not be a heavy burden. When talking about his experience with Eholo, he highlights a feeling above all else:
“Eholo for me is lightness, because it allows you to have all the essentials of a therapeutic process in a single space.”
Have tools such as transcript of sessions or the support of MIA it has allowed you to optimize your administrative time to dedicate it to what happens within the session.
The Future of Psychology: Intuition and Creativity
Regarding the trends that will mark the profession, Àngels is committed to models that go beyond the obvious:
“Psychosomatics together with creativity and models that help develop intuition as an existential intelligence”.
A vision where the body, mind and the creative capacity of the human being come together to offer a deeper accompaniment.
Imagining the consultation five years from now
Àngels envisions a solid and team project, without losing the specialization that defines it:
“I imagine my practice with 5 collaborators specialized in AACC and PAS, offering group programs for therapists and families, in addition to individual, family and couple therapy.”
