Sometimes, being a psychologist can feel like a journey without a map. You know that you want to advance, grow professionally and enjoy your work more, but you find yourself going around without a clear direction. To help you reconnect with your purpose and set a direction, at Eholo we have created together with Selene and Eva a practical and transformative resource: the Road Map for Psychologists.
This resource is designed to help you stop for a moment, take a breath and answer honestly: Where are you really in your professional career? Where would you like to go? What obstacles stand in your way? And what concrete steps can you start taking today?
First stop: Where are you?
As with any trip, the first thing is to know where you are. Often, we move forward in a hurry, without wondering if the path we are following is the one we really want. This section invites you to stop and observe your professional reality: your feelings, achievements, insecurities and current obstacles.
With key questions such as:
- How do you feel about your career now?
- What aspects do you enjoy the most?
- What is holding you back?
... it helps you to put words to what you are experiencing, and thus begin to make decisions that are more aligned with your true needs.
Second stop: Clarity and Focus
Knowing what you want is essential to not let yourself be carried away by inertia. This second stop allows you to visualize where you would like to be in 6 months or a year, and define three priority objectives. In addition, it encourages you to identify what skills you need to reinforce and what concrete action you can take this week to move forward.
Because it's not about having a perfect plan, but about starting to move with intention.
Third stop: Obstacles and resources
On this stretch of the road, it's time to look head-on at what's holding you back. Whether it's fear of error, insecurity, lack of time or mental burden, the resource helps you to name those brakes and, most importantly, to detect the resources you already have and may not be fully using: your experience, your knowledge, your support network or even your time (if you organize it better).
In addition, it encourages you to think about what areas you could ask for help: delegating tasks, seeking training or having an emotional network to support you.
Fourth stop: Realistic action
Finally, the resource suggests that you move from reflection to action. You don't need to do it all at once, just take a small but significant first step. It also invites you to commit to yourself in the medium term: What habit or change do you want to maintain over the next month?
From publishing content without seeking perfection to redesigning your service proposal, every small action adds up.
Start your journey with clarity
This resource isn't just an exercise in self-knowledge: it's a practical tool that will help you take charge of your career with more confidence and purpose.
